Our Valentines' Day 2011

How did you spend you Valentines’ Day this year? We had a really great fun time this year as daddy & mummy surprised us (we did not know until they picked me up from school on Mon evening) by taking us to have a night stay at the Gurney Hotel in Gurney Drive!

Coincidentally the day after Valentines’ day Tue 15th Feb was a public holiday in Malaysia; they thought of it would be fun to bring us for the stay and spend some time together to celebrate this day as a family since Valentines is all about Love right?

We did not do much on the night itself (tell you a secret; apparently our parents had already gone for “pak-thor” in the day time alone when I was still in school and JoJo at home with a-ma. Cheeky parents hor?) as it rained quite heavily and it was already quite late when we returned to the hotel from our dinner. Moreover; I still have homework to complete. Yeah, my kiasu mummy even had me packed my homework along because my exam is coming.

The next morning; the fun begins when we went down to the pool and played. The water was very cold due to the rain last night so JoJo refuses to be put down to her float. Nor even the sand by the poolside. So no choice; mummy had to lay down a towel for her majesty to sit on and from there, JoJo only started to “warm up” and we played building sand-castles and even had a “mini-picnic” by the poolside. Since it’s not a long holiday, the pool was quite empty too and we had a great time there. After an hour plus playing in and by the pool, we went back to our room and continue on our fun time in the Jacuzzi tub until JoJo started to sneeze and mummy quickly dried and dressed us.

After checking-out from the hotel, we proceeded to Gurney Plaza and had our lunch at Bar-B-Q Plaza – a restaurant which we frequent whenever we are in KL; now finally open in Penang. After lunch, we went on for our haircut appointments at Uncle Jason’s saloon. We reached home around 4pm and everybody, specially JoJo was already very tired. So we took our naps at home with a-ma while daddy and mummy went out to get groceries. Though it was just a short trip but we had real great fun. I just couldn’t wait to go back to school and tell all my friends about it. Who says you’ll need to spend a lot of money to go for overseas holiday to have fun eh?

Note to mummy: Since daddy's birthday is coming soon, can we do this again ar? hehehehe
