Another backdated post
On 8 Jan, yet marked another significant occasion not only for Joreen pui-yi (mummy’s cousin cum god-sister) but also to JoJo. On this day, Joreen pui-yi was pronounced as Mrs. Steven Sim and our dear lil darling JoJo, she had made all of us proud by walking down the aisle.... as a flower girl at 19mths+! Oh of course, I was also one of the flower girl too.
Everyone was skeptical about her being a flower girl at such young age. Would she be able to handle it? Will she cry or make a big fuss? Etc etc etc... All these question puts even the initially confident mummy into doubt. But at the end, JoJo did it and startled everyone and dropped the jaws of all “skeptics”! But due to mummy had to be in the front alter to “lure” her and daddy being the one at the back to “give her away”, so none of our parents have a free hand to snap any pictures of the significant moments. Thank God some of the wedding photographers managed to share some of the pictures they took.
To make the dinner at night more significant, the Honorable Chief Minister of Penang, YB Lim Guan Eng & his wife were the guests of honor of the evening. He was actually seated right next to our kung-kung at the main table. The two of them have been chatting like old buddies for the entire evening; which mummy said was a bit “scary” LOL!
